There are so many big and little things to think about before your wedding that it can feel overwhelming and small details can be forgotten. From wedding morning meals to a new perfume to wear, we have you covered on all the things to think about before your wedding day.
A hair and makeup trial- If you are choosing to have a professional do your hair and makeup ( highly recommend) then don’t forget to book a trial beforehand. It’s important to make sure your stylist knows your vision and can accomplish what you’re hoping to look like before your actual wedding day. We recommend booking a trial 2-3 months before your wedding,
Booking catering for your wedding morning- Catering for your rehearsal and reception are usually on everyone’s to do list, but a lot of couples forget that you need to think of your wedding morning as well. Between the hustle and bustle of getting ready and taking photos, it’s easy to forget about eating. Trust me, you don’t want to go the whole day without eating or drinking. So make sure you have food for you and your wedding party that morning of your wedding.
Wedding shoes- After you find the perfect dress, it’s time to find the shoes you’ll walk down the aisle in. Make sure you break in your shoes before your wedding day so you can get use to them. Don’t be afraid to pack a pair of back up shoes that may be more comfortable for dancing either!
New perfume- You have your hair and makeup all set, but have you thought about a new perfume for your day? Some brides like picking out a new perfume to wear on their wedding day to make it more memorable. You will also be taking tons of photos with lots of loved ones, so it’s good to smell nice.
New undergarments- Before your wedding day, make sure you get some new lingerie! Making sure you have the right bra to go with your dress and underwear to go with is something that may be overlooked.
Jewelry- Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Here’s a chance to borrow a family necklace, or get a new necklace to accent your dress. Maybe you have some blue sapphire earrings to tie in something blue. Whatever you pick, don’t forget wedding jewelry, if you choose to wear any.
A purse or a clutch- While you might not have your phone on you most of the day, you may want it to take your own photos while getting ready or even at the reception. A new purse or clutch may be the perfect accessory to carry your belongings in.
An emergency kit- Hopefully you won’t need to use it, but it’s better to be prepared than not. Having a quick little emergency bag with things like tylenol, safety pins, a sewing kit, a stain removing pen, chapstick and deodorant is important not to forget.
A second dress- While this might not apply to everyone, if you do plan on changing into a different dress for your reception, make sure you bring that to your reception hall so you can change.
Clothes for your wedding night/ honeymoon- It’s easy to think about all the things you need for your wedding day and easy to overlook your wedding night. Don’t forget to pack a change of clothes for after your wedding. If you leave right away for your honeymoon, have your bags packed for that as well.
