Should You Have A Signature Cocktail?
Happy Cinco De Mayo!
As we kick off wedding season, let’s talk about signature cocktails.
Who doesn’t enjoy a good cocktail at a wedding? Whether its a tried and true classic, like a Rum and Coke, or something new and exciting, like a Blushing Bride, there is something for everyone.
What are some reasons to incorporate signature cocktails in your wedding?
1. It’s a great way to include your color palette into your cocktail hour.
Continue your color palette through the evening by adding it into your signature cocktail. There are so many different color and flavor possibilities to try. Plus, the matching colors also look wonderful in photos.
2. Signature cocktails can help you stay within a budget for your bar services.
Open bars are a lot of fun for guests, but they can get expensive quick. Limiting guests to a certain amount of hard liquor, beer and wine options will help your guests enjoy their time while also helping you save money.
3. Having a signature cocktail helps your guest decide what to drink.
Deciding what you want to drink all night can sometimes be overwhelming. Helping your guest have some choices allows them to have something to choose from and could even let them try something new.
4. Signature cocktails are a fun way to show off your personality to your guests!
Signature cocktails are a fun way to add a little bit of your personality for your guests to see. Having 2-3 signature cocktails is a good number. One for each of you and maybe even one after your fur baby! Have fun naming them. (We have a whole list of ideas with fun names at Pocketful of Plans.) Let your personality shine and let guests get a little taste of you and your personality through the evening.
No matter what season you get married in, there is a signature drink that’s perfect for tying in the season with your color and personality.
Cheers!
