2019 Wedding Trends
I am so pumped about 2019! If you are working on planning your 2019 wedding here are some trends that I am loving and can’t wait to see more of for 2019!
I’ve seen a lot of great use of bold colors lately. While green and while is always chic a table filled with lush colors and bold, deep hues to compliment greenery. I have been loving seeing burgundies, corals, even magenta taking over bridal florals.
I love hanging installations. A well-planned and well-placed installation can be the focal point for any reception. Even chandeliers with greenery incorporated make a huge statement over the traditional centerpieces.
I am seeing a lot of couples have more fun food incorporated into their reception, such as live oyster shucking stations, live grills, and more casual fare that everyone loves. Since the Monterey Bay is home to some of the US’s freshest produce and seafood many couples are incorporating that into their meals in fun ways. Another trend I am loving is desserts that are anything but cake. From huge dessert bars to ice cream sundaes to cute little popsicle bikes.
I love marble, it’s so classy, and for couples looking to host an elegant black-tie wedding, marble is your go to for class and sophistication.
While the bride and her maids are often the focus of attention when it comes to fashion, I am loving the
groom and groomsmen’s expression of their own style and taste with more bright colored suits, textured jackets, and great accessories. I am loving the Black Tux’s velvet tuxedos for winter weddings.
For a long time, couples were always wanting to get married in the summer and wedding season was typically June to October and Saturdays. But now, wedding season and any day of the week is fair game. I love seeing winter weddings, Friday weddings, Sunday weddings, Heck even a Thursday wedding turned into a long weekend surrounded by those you love. The best part of a wedding is spending time with family and friends that you may not otherwise get to see frequently.
I love tents, but they cost a pretty penny. However, outdoor weddings mean unpredictable weather. A good sturdy tent can mean your outdoor wedding can continue despite rain or a cold front on the Monterey Bay. The best part is that tents are now beautiful, from clear tents, to Sperry tents with chandeliers and string lighting and draping – Tents are like building your own custom ballroom.
I love stationary, it should be a reflection of your style, your venue, and you as a couple. A custom stationary set can set the mood and tone of your wedding so that guests understand the vibe and tone for the wedding. Your stationary lets couples know the tone of your wedding day, whether guests are coming to a black-tie affair or coming to a relaxed weekend filled with outdoor activities.
From Photo booths to Live bands to silent discos I love guest entertainment. Here are interactive stations that I have seen a lot of this year and love: Mixologists onsite that make custom drinks and go beyond the signature cocktails. Special live entertainment for the cocktail hour, cigar bars, babysitters and live entertainment for the kiddos to keep them busy and parents having fun. I have even had (and loved) a Friday scavenger hunt for all the guests followed by a large welcome party.
